Compact Industrial Keyboards Ideal for ATM Maintenance and Industrial Machinery

We're Back!!! Hello, it seems so long ago since we have posted a blog. We have been so busy perfecting out products that the year hads just flown by. Hopefully, we are here to stay. We look forward to receiving your posts and suggestions on products you may like to see us offer.

Electrone Americas Ltd., Co’s Compact Industrial Keyboards Ideal for ATM Maintenance and Industrial Machinery.

Electrone Americas Ltd., Co.’s compact industrial keyboards are now being offered to industrial professionals for use as ATM maintenance keyboards and machinery components. These industrial keyboards, which include the 9004; the 9005; and the 9053, boast not only a small footprint ideal for settings with limited space, but a full QWERTY key layout with an embedded numeric keypad plus 12 function keys. They also have mechanical keyswitches for increased durability in harsh environments. All of the keyboards in Electrone’s line of compact industrial keyboards are customizable to include hazard-resistant, wipe-clean membranes, and some include metal chasses for rack mount installations.

Like all of Electrone’s
compact industrial keyboards, the 9004 has a conveniently small form (10.25" in width, 5.75" in depth, and 1" in height), a robust build, and multiple connectivity options (serial, PS/2, and USB). It also features an integral, two-button touchpad, which frees users from needing a mouse. In addition to its long life cycle, the compact size and touchpad feature of the 9004 make it uniquely suited to be used as a keyboard for ATM maintenance. It has already been used by several technicians for ATM maintenance on ATMs such as the Diebold Opteva—one of Diebold’s hallmark ATM products. The 9004 Compact Industrial Keyboard is currently offered with a hazard-resistant membrane (the 9004R).

The 9005 Compact Industrial Keyboard is similar in size to the 9004, but features a metal chassis instead of a touchpad. The 9005’s aluminum chassis makes it the perfect industrial keyboard solution for applications that offer limited mounting space, such as industrial machinery systems. With a 9005 Compact Industrial Keyboard, industrial professionals can have a space-efficient keyboard for their industrial machinery that still provides excellent data entry capabilities. The 9005 is also offered with a hazard-resistant membrane (the 9005R).

The 9053 Compact Industrial Keyboard impeccably combines operational space efficiency with industrial resiliency, and is offered with a hazard-resistant membrane as well (the 9053R). The 9053 has all of the features of the 9005, but includes the touchpad of the 9004. This gives industrial users a keyboard option that is both mountable in harsh environments and built to operate with limited peripheral accessories (i.e., a mouse). The 9053—and all of Electrone’s entire line of compact industrial keyboards—is suited for virtually any industrial application.

New Security Camera Control Console from Electrone Designed to Aid the Fight Against Terrorism

BOCA RATON, Fla., April 19 /PRNewswire/ -- According to top security professionals, security camera surveillance technology is vital to any successful counterterrorism strategy. With the recent release of its latest security camera control console, the EAL System 200 Security Camera Control Console, Electrone Americas Ltd., Co. has made a valuable contribution to the arsenal of technology for the fight against terrorism.

Recently many major cities around the world—particularly cities like New York and London that have fallen victim to terrorism—have been expanding their security camera surveillance networks. After the recent subway terrorist attack in Moscow, Russian security agents looked to their camera system for answers, and found that it was technologically insufficient to have prevented the bombing. Consequently, Moscow will now be joining the larger trend of implementing more advanced security camera surveillance technology, like
the EAL System 200 Security Camera Control Console, to fight against terrorism.

Equipped to remotely control a large number of cameras over a network as well as consolidate the operations necessary to manage cameras for security applications,
the EAL System 200 is a powerful tool for combating terror. The standard model EAL System 200 has a triple-axis joystick that enables security agents to easily manipulate high-tech digital security cameras in their effort to identify potential terrorists. This model also features a 2-port USB hub for seamless integration with other devices pivotal to operating an effective counterterrorism security camera system.

Optionally, the
EAL System 200 can be supplied as a "mouse-stick" for security software that allows camera control using a mouse, thus allowing security agents much more flexibility in operating this type of software for counter-terrorist security applications. The unit can also be customized to feature up to 70 programmable buttons and/or a graphic LCD display with 4 soft keys, both of which features make light of navigating even the largest of camera networks.

The programmable keys dramatically streamline monitoring tasks and are a valuable asset during terror alerts when security agents are rushed to complete multiple tasks. The LCD display feature allows specific commands to be issued directly to the security agent operating the console—a communication capability that is invaluable to a counterterrorism security camera network.

For more information about the
System 200 and how it can help your security camera surveillance network, please call Electrone Americas at 561-395-3398 or e-mail GonzaloP@electroneamericas.com.

Electrone Americas Launches New Call Center Keyboard Case Study Program

Check Out This Month's Newsletter!April 12, 2010

Electrone Americas Ltd., Co. is pleased to announce the launch of its new Call Center Keyboard Case Study Program. The study is geared toward evaluating the effects of using more ergonomic, space-efficient keyboards on the performance and job satisfaction of call center customer service representatives. If you are interested in having your call center participate in this exclusive program, please review the information below. The application deadline is 30 Apr. 2010. Please contact Electrone Americas Marketing Research Director, Zenobia Charles, at 561-395-3398 or e-mail mailto:zenobiac@electroneamericas.comfor an application or additional information.

Background

Electrone specializes in providing our customers with IT peripherals and solutions that alleviate workplace problems and/or improve workplace productivity and efficiency. A recent case study (please see attached document) revealed that workstation elements/design have considerable effects on employee satisfaction and performance in the call center environment. This study revealed that the more flexible and cockpit-like their workspace, the more comfortable that call center employees were at their station and the better they performed on the phone with customers.

Currently, Electrone keyboards are being utilized in call center facilities; but their effects on the workplace environment has yet to be studied-hence our Call Center Keyboard Case Study. This study has been designed to focus on determining the effects of providing call center representatives with smaller, more ergonomic keyboards from Electrone and determining how the devices affect their job satisfaction and performance.

Description

The Call Center Keyboard Case Study is a 30-day study that will allow your call center to place some of Electrone's user-friendly mini keyboards in the hands of a select group of its employees, and ultimately reap the benefits suggested by the aforementioned study. Our mini keyboards are the best for solving desk space crowding-a common problem in the call center environment-and they are extremely durable; under 12-month warranty; and flexible to a wide variety of specifications. Once the units are in use on the floor of the call center chosen by your company, Electrone will periodically check in with the call center supervisor(s) to inquire as to how your employees are adapting to using our keyboards and to address any issues and/or concerns as well as take general comments. To complete the study, Electrone will collect an exit questionnaire from each of the employees that utilized our keyboard in your company's facility as well as from their supervisor. (The information extracted from your company will be used in Electrone publications regarding our keyboards.) Finally, at the end of the study period, if your company is indeed satisfied with the effects of our products within its call center, then our keyboards will be yours to keep!

Enrollment

In order to participate in this program, please clearly fill out our Case Study Participation Form (please call 561-395-3398 or e-mail mailto:zenobiac@electroneamericas.comfor an application) and send it back to us as indicated. It is that simple! With the exception of return shipping, there is absolutely no cost to you for evaluating our keyboards unless you decide to keep them. Electrone looks forward to having our units in your facility for evaluation. We are certain that our elite 9000 Series Mini Keyboards will prove to be quite an asset to your facility!

Making Your Self-Service Tools Better with the EAL 9053

Hello, All:

The popular trend in the service industry is toward self-service. Businesses have found enabling their customers to perform for themselves tasks that were once performed by service representatives to be an extremely efficient and economical alternative to traditional customer service. Recognizing this trend, Electrone has worked steadily to present its customers with tools that accommodate their need for self-service automation. Please read below for information about one of these tools: the EAL 9053 Industrial Keyboard for ATM Machines and Kiosks.

All the Best,
Zenobia Y. Charles
Marketing Manager
The EAL 9053

ATM machines and kiosks enable businesses to give their customers self service options for everyday tasks; and if they effectively allow people to complete these tasks, ATM machines and kiosks can be very efficient ways to economize a business by lessening the demand for service representatives.

Electrone Americas Ltd., Co. has worked steadily to develop an industrial keyboard that will work seamlessly with ATM machines and kiosks to ensure that end users can quickly and easily accomplish their ATM and kiosk tasks. The end result is our EAL 9053 Industrial Keyboard for ATM Machines and Kiosks, the latest edition to the family of EAL Keyboards.

The
EAL 9053 is the ideal industrial keyboard for ATM machines and kiosks. This mini keyboard boasts a conveniently small form that allows it to be easily integrated with ATM machines and kiosks of virtually any size. The unit also has multiple connectivity options (USB, PS/2, Serial) that help make integration easier. Additionally, our kiosk keyboard also boasts a rugged aluminum enclosure for added durability as well as secure mounting within an ATM or kiosk.

With the option to feature specially rubberized keys or an entirely wipe-clean, weather-resistant membrane, the
EAL 9053 Industrial Keyboard can easily be customized for ATM machines and kiosks located in harsh environments. As added bonuses, the 9053 has an embedded touchpad feature (pictured herein without touchpad feature) and comes with a custom holder to facilitate panel mounting the unit as necessitated by a given ATM or kiosk.

For further information regarding the

A Safer Moscow

Hello, All:

Yesterday, 29 Mar. 2010, 39 people were killed in Moscow during the morning rush hours by two separate subway suicide bombers. At the moment, no group has claimed responsibility for the attacks, which were staged by an unidentified pair of young females, but the overwhelming consensus is that Chechnyan militants are to blame. From the perspective of many Muscovites, regardless of who staged the attacks, the Russian government is also to blame for their failure to protect its citizens.

In response to both this argument and the increased threat of terrorism in Moscow, Russian federal forces will now be assigned to protecting the capital’s subways, which have been targeted on several occasions by militants over the past twenty years (this week’s attack was the most deadly since 2004). However, the topic of taking a more technological response, which we at Electrone support, has been raised as well.

It is our opinion that adding multiple layers of security in Moscow that include both human and technological components will provide citizens with the best level of protection from terrorist violence. As such, while boosting military presence at subway stations is a must, this action unto itself will not suffice to combat terrorists. Electrone understands the benefits of multi-layered security, even at the micro-level of devices (such as
http://www.electrone.com/content.php?ref=page_soln6a1), and recommends that government officials in Moscow increase their ability to electronically detect security threats to their transit systems.

Electrone expresses the deepest of condolences for the victims of these bombings, their loved ones, and the people of Moscow, whose lives have been terrorized by these recent acts of violence.

Ergonomic Keyboard / Keyboard with Touchpad

As much as today's computer technology differs from that of ten years ago, the reality is that the basic peripherals attached to our computers have basically remained the same. The most glaring example of this is the computer keyboard. Electrone Americas Ltd., Co. encourages you to try replacing your computer keyboard with a more ergonomic keyboard from the EAL 9000 Series of Keyboards—the EAL 9004 Keyboard with Touchpad.

Only 10.25" in width, 5.75" in depth, and 1" in height, the EAL 9004 is a mini keyboard with a conveniently small form. It is the best keyboard to solve to desk space crowding. With an integral two-button touchpad for mouse emulation; silent tactile keys; as well as 12 function keys and an embedded numeric pad; the EAL 9004 Keyboard with Touchpad also boasts convenient functionality. Additionally, the pc keyboard can be equipped with a plastic, protective key skin or given a foreign language layout, making it an extremely versatile computer device.

The size and touchpad feature of this mini keyboard exemplify just how a small footprint can make a big difference. For one, it is easier to place our ergonomic keyboard in a comfortable position on your desk than its normal-sized counterparts, which can have the effects of limiting pain/numbness in your neck, shoulders, and/or wrists. The EAL 9004 Keyboard with Touchpad also helps limit your hands' movement over your desk from keyboard to mouse and mouse to keyboard, which translates to less stress on your hands, wrists, arms, elbows, and shoulders.

So, if you feel like your workstation is too crowded for you to function or if you experience pain after a long day in front of your computer, it is definitely time for a new, ergonomic keyboard for your computer: the EAL 9004 Keyboard with Touchpad from Electrone.

Customized PIN Pads Help Prevent Identity Theft

Hello, All:

Identity theft is nothing new, and unfortunately, since scammers have to keep up with technology to be able to beat it, the ways that criminals are stealing identities is constantly evolving. Check out the post below to find out how customized PIN pads can help in the present-day fight against identity theft. For information about the PIN pads discussed in the article, please visit the following site: http://www.electrone.com/content.php?ref=page_soln3. And of course, if you have any questions, comments, or just want to say, “Hello!” please e-mail me at zenobiac@electroneamericas.com or call Electrone at 561-395-3398.

Cheers,Zenobia Y. CharlesMarketing Manager

Recently, there has been an uptrend of identity theft scams involving PIN pads. Criminals are switching out vendors’ PIN pads with their own, and then coming back to collect their phony pads. Once they have their phony pads back, they extract the private account information of those customers who had the misfortune of using them.

To prevent this type of identity theft, vendors must proactively guard their PIN pads against tampering. Vendors that heavily rely upon cashless payment systems can do this with customized and/or mountable PIN pads, which scammers cannot readily duplicate and replace with phonies.

Customized PIN Pads help vendors prevent identity theft and provide their customers with easy-to-use cashless payment devices. Since PIN pads can feature a wide variety of firmware and hardware options, they are adaptable to most cashless payment systems and can be designed to indicate the functions of a certain vendor’s payment system or even its color scheme.

Consequently, Customized PIN pads are incredibly difficult for a criminal to replicate, which deters tampering and identity theft. PIN pads that have been customized for surface-mounting are particularly safe, since criminals cannot readily remove these units from a store. Where, then, should vendors look for customized PIN pads? Electrone Americas Ltd., Co., which specializes in developing custom PIN pads, is the company to start with.

Electrone’s customized PIN pads support multiple cashless payment system applications and can be outfitted to include a magnetic stripe reader; fingerprint reader; or smart card reader. Features such as these help prevent identity theft by requiring additional identity verification. The PIN pads’ key tops and legends are customizable, so vendors can implement unique PIN pads that not only can scammers not replicate for the purposes of identity theft, but that streamline their customers’ payment process.

For extra security against identity theft, Electrone PIN pads can be designed for surface mounting, which safeguards against their removal by identity thieves. As an additional bonus, these units have the option to be equipped with wipe-clean membranes, and even metal enclosures. Versatile and resilient, Electrone PIN pads are being used by an Illinois medical institution in order to comply with rigid state laws that force medical centers to protect their customers from identity theft.

For more information on how customized PIN Pads can protect your customers, call Electrone at 561-395-3398 or e-mail Gonzalo Perez. You can also visit www.electrone.com.
